A great day for Tyler. He was taken off the respirator and oxygen and is breathing on his own. He was able to respond to the neurosurgeon that his neck did not hurt so the neck brace was taken off. When his dad asked him if he felt like crap, Tyler shook his head yes. His dad asked him to give a thumbs up and Tyler responded accordingly. Tyler responded to his mom with a nod of his head when she asked if he was awake. Even more amazing when the neurosurgeon asked Tyler to show him 2 fingers, Tyler displayed 2. What all this means is that Tyler is understanding our questions and is able to process the information correctly.
Tyler is still very lethargic but no longer in a coma. He is aware that he is in a hospital but may not know why. Tyler's CAT scan came back the same as before indicating bruising of the brain. But no change from the day before. Ty will also be meeting with a rehabilition doctor this afternoon for an evaluation. We can only hope for the best!! Our love and prayers to Tyler.

today is the first day that i havent hung out with tyler in probly 3 months. just the thought of him lying there helpless in a bed puts a tear to my eye. i know you will get back to strenght and youll be the same great tyler once again. ill see you tommorow brother. just so you know we got approved for the house so get well so we can move out allready. love ya bro

Tyler I wish you well. I know you’re a fighter and will be on feet soon. Everybody at work is concern for your well being as we all trying to figure out the last few day how to reach a friend or family member.
